Royal Rugby has consistently benefited from the support of ORAUK, with the teams continually meeting and exceeding expectations. Since 2010, Royal College has secured the league championship title six times. Notably, the Bradby Shield was retained for ten consecutive years from 2015 to 2024. Although the team experienced a setback in 2024, losing the Shield, they made a remarkable comeback in 2025—defeating league champions Trinity College and reclaiming the title against all odds.

ORAUK Contributions to Royal Rugby

ORAUK has played a pivotal role in supporting Royal Rugby through several key contributions:

    • In 2012, ORAUK made the largest single donation to date—GBP 7,500—towards the development of the Sky Pavilion, significantly enhancing the infrastructure for rugby at Royal College.

    • In 2016, ORAUK provided financial support for the New Zealand tour undertaken by the champion Royal Rugby team, enabling international exposure and competitive experience.

    • Over the past three years, ORAUK has raised more than GBP 5,000 through individual contributions, directly supporting the ongoing development of the Rugby Program at Royal College.

    • In 2025, ORAUK collected GBP 1,770 to fund the team’s Rugby tour to Malaysia, celebrating the squad’s extraordinary achievement in securing all major traditional trophies—defying expert predictions and reaffirming Royal’s dominance in school rugby.
