The annual ORAUK Autumn Extravaganza, held on Saturday, 23rd November 2024, was a resounding success, bringing together Old Royalists of all ages, their families, and friends for an unforgettable evening of fun, fellowship, and fundraising to support ORAUK and the current students of Royal College, Colombo. This memorable event was a wonderful example of the unity, dedication, and spirit that defines ORAUK. Together, we continue to celebrate the legacy of Royal College and work towards ensuring the success of the next generation of Royalists. Guests enjoyed an evening filled with laughter, lively conversations, and shared memories, all the while contributing to ORAUK’s ongoing mission to support Royal College and its students. The tone of the evening was set by the talented group music by Hasthi, with a feature accompaniment by a novel session of Sri Lankan traditional drum performances paired with vibrant songs in English, Tamil, and Sinhala. The music kept the dance floor buzzing all night, adding an unforgettable energy and vibrancy to the evening. The fundraising efforts were equally successful, with everyone engaging with the exciting raffle draw offering exceptional prizes. Furthermore, our supportive patrons and sponsors contributed generously towards our beautifully crafted souvenir which also reflected on what we have achieved this year. The funds raised at this event will be used to support on going and new projects at the college. With your on-going support, ORAUK is fully committed to provide further events which can help bring together our community, raise awareness and funds required to further develop and support Royal College. At the conclusion of the event everyone went away with fond memories, looking forward to being back again for our flagship event, the Blue & Gold Ball on 26th April 2025 at the exclusive Down Hall Hotel Spa & Estate.
